Job Overview:

The Analyst in Vendor Master Data provides direct support to respective business partners to collect and review the necessary inputs for the vendor master data setup and maintenance process.  This role interacts with individuals across the business.  Other responsibilities include identification and implementation of process improvement opportunities, ad hoc requests and supporting users on using the vendor automation process.  The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to prioritize and communicate effectively, be detail oriented and have a passion for continual improvement.   

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Set up and maintain vendor master data within the scope of the Master Data department for all business groups

  • Work collaboratively with a multitude of individuals across the organization

  • Adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures to ensure proper internal controls are maintained

  • Review requests for banking changes and validate to ensure no fraudulent transactions

  • Represent the Master Data department to support and guide business decisions related to vendor master data set-ups for new and existing vendors

  • Provide assistance and/or guidance to Project Teams as needed to gather “Business Requirements” to set-up new and/or maintain vendors

  • Create and maintain vendor master data departmental documentation consistent with operations manual guidelines

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities

  • Participate in and perform SOX compliance activities

  • Perform LexisNexis OFAC inquiries for vendor master data

  • Provide administrative support to the user communities for material, customer and vendor master data setups and maintenance

Other skills nice to have:

  • Education:  Bachelors’ degree preferred

  • Skills and Abilities:  Excel spreadsheets/Google Sheets,  PowerPoint/Google slides, and general office skills

  • Experience with SAP R/3 preferred
