The Brand Director is responsible for developing long-term strategic plans that meet top-line sales, margin and profit objectives for the assigned brand. A Brand Director is accountable for advertising, new product development, forecasting, inventory levels, packaging, point of sale, collateral materials and other any other area that directly influences brand success.

In this role you will:

  • Develop operating plans and execute strategies needed to meet top-line sales, margin and contribution to profit objectives;

  • Develop the strategic direction for the brand and gain alignment with key internal constituents;

  • Ensure inventory levels are appropriate by managing the overall SKU assortment and by
    maintaining frequent communications with cross-functional partners;

  • Lead and actively participate in the new product development process;

  • Ensure all marketing activities are on strategy and consistent with spending principles/budgeting;

  • Establish brand priorities;

  • Make full and effective use of available resources, particularly other functional areas (Trade
    Research, Creative Services, etc.);

  • Serve as the primary contact with the Creative Marketing Team;

  • Oversee and take an active role in the recruitment, selection and development of assigned resources;

  • Manage budgets and initiatives to deliver EBITA;

  • Responsible for developing director reports depending on brand assignment.

The perfect person will have:

  • Bachelors Degree;

  • Minimum of 7-10 years experience in brand management;

  • Experience in media planning, advertising creative and concept development;

  • Proven track record of developing, coaching and managing others;

  • High risk tolerance that is educated/smart;

  • Empowers others by pushing decision making and work to the right level in the organization;

  • Sets targets, aligns people to the work, and effectively follows up;

  • Shows passion for the consumers, customers, and associates;

  • Fundamental knowledge of the business and knows how to apply it to the area of expertise;

  • Passionate about problem-solving;

  • Seeks to understand and remain open to new ideas; resists the urge to “know it all.”

  • Exhibits intellectual curiosity.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing;

  • MBA;

  • Experience with SAP.
