We are looking for a Commercial Sales Lead who will join our Hawthorne team.


The Commercial Sales Lead (CSL) is responsible for maximizing profitable sales growth in all accounts within their assigned geography. Results are achieved through execution of agreed to sales, marketing plans and leading people. Lead team to establish relationships with commercial licensed cultivators, consultants, QCRs, regional alternative channels and industry associations. In addition, the CSL is responsible for identifying and communicating regional insights through appropriate sales and marketing channels.


What you’ll do in this role:

  • Maximize growth opportunities within assigned geographical region.

  • Implementation and execution of Customer and Company Strategic Plans

  • Partner with Regional Field Leadership (MSO Procurement Mgrs, QCRs, Consultants,EDs ) at our largest cultivators to create mutually beneficial sales programs to drive incremental shipments, and market share thru Hawthorne 360

  • Collaborate with HGC category, Business Development, and Business Execution teams to optimize cultivation recommendations, inventory parameters and promotional strategies based on Regional trends and competitive threats

  • Collaborate with HGC Tech Services team to ensure best in class cultivation, build outs, troubleshooting & centralized procurement.

  • Identify & communicate local insights and competitive activity to influence marketing plans, tactics, and regional product developments & promotions.

  • Lead talent management initiatives including managing performance, coaching and developing others.

  • Build effective teams through attracting, retaining, and developing talent to meet market needs aligned to sales growth plan.

  • Maintain the Regional Battle Rhythm that assures productive team activities.

  • Manage assigned resources effectively (people and financial).

  • Meet all administrative and compliance requirements.

  • Drive the utilization of technical tools to increase productivity and maximize administrative efficiencies.

  • Ensure  safe work environment for all associates.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 10 years of sales / account management experience.

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent experience.

  • Previous cultivation experience a plus

  • Previous supervisory / management experience.

  • Experience building strong internal and external partnerships with key decision makers.

  • Outstanding communication and time management skills

  • Strong computer skills required including use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google.
