The CRM Assistant Manager connects with consumers on relevant topics, drives meaningful value for the consumer, and builds loyalty. The ideal person should be experienced in email marketing, across strategy, content planning, building, execution, reporting, and acquisition. We’re looking for someone who understands the technical components of email marketing, but also has the creative mindset to deliver inspiring content to our consumers. The focus of the role will be driving the execution of our email campaigns from start to finish, leading the development of new CRM programs for new brands, and project managing agency partners. The CRM Assistant Manager will report to the CRM Manager and work closely with the digital team, content team, ecommerce team, business intelligence team, brand, and marketing services teams.

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Serve as a CRM lead in a defined functional area of the business

  • Understand brand and business objectives and priorities at a business level

  • Educate brand teams on CRM best practices, builds relationships/trust

  • Collaborate with CRM Manager to roadmap multi-year channel plans and deliver new solutions

  • Independently lead new projects and CRM programs from their inception

  • Communicate brand specific CRM plans and results across integrated teams

  • Communicate with leadership on key milestones

The perfect person will have/be:

  • Expert user of CRM/ESP/CDP platforms

  • Proven success collaborating with multiple stakeholders and teams on complex projects

  • Organized to balance multiple brands at one time

  • A strong understanding of other digital channels and how Email/CRM integrates with them

  • A rich knowledge of the nuances of the email marketing and advocate for channel best practices

  • Analytical thinker with a creative flair who can translate conceptual ideas into consumer facing content

  • Can visually lay out email campaigns and deliver punchy copy

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and identify potential solutions

  • Knowledge of ecommerce platforms and transactional emails

  • Ability to give direction to creative teams for email assets and developers for coding

  • Confident delivering strategic email content plans that reflect brands’ business goals 

  • Passionate about driving the advancement of CRM personalization/automation in thoughtful ways; Active researcher of email inspiration and new trends to test

  • Ability to report out on KPIs, pull out key insights and optimize for future email campaigns

  • Able to develop presentations that clearly and succinctly outline campaign goals, processes, procedures and workflows

  • Ability and/or experience to manage more junior-level associates and/or contractors

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • A degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Design or similar

  • 6 to 10 years of demonstrable experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; leads the room when presenting to internal and external stakeholders

  • Continuous collaboration with various stakeholders and teams on projects

  • Be team-oriented and an active contributor to team/company culture

  • Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • People management experience preferred

  • Design and copywriting skills are a plus

  • Basic email HTML/JS coding knowledge is a plus
