We are looking for an eCommerce Marketing Specialist (Amazon) who will grow at our corporate office in Marysville, Ohio.  

The eCommerce Marketing Specialist position is responsible for maximizing the customer experience and driving revenue growth through a focus on promotional programs and product merchandising support on retailer eCommerce sites (ex. Amazon). The ideal candidate for this role will be a strategic and creative thinker, also energetic and detail-oriented with an entrepreneurial personality to grow company sales. 

An integral part of this position requires a great deal of problem-solving and analytical skills. Key responsibilities will include supporting the build and execution of marketing programs through paid media, supporting merchandising updates, and managing the ratings and review enrollment process.  Analytical skills will be focused on category performance, merchandising efforts, product sell through, and identifying product and promotional opportunities in efforts to drive revenue growth. 

This role will report to the eCommerce Marketing Manager.

In this role you will:

E-Commerce Retailer Marketing & Promotion Support:

  • Work in collaboration with sales, marketing and digital teams to execute eCommerce marketing campaigns and programs; 

  • Review and strategize ways of executing category offers, cross-sell/up-sell strategies through sales trends for product opportunities;

  • Assist with building product assortments and selecting featured products for marketing campaigns;

  • Manage the setup and execution of online marketing programs. Must be able to prioritize marketing initiatives and work within the ever-changing retail landscape. Also, develop promotions and leverage analytics by understanding customer needs, product roadmaps, market trends and the competitive landscape.

E-Commerce Content Performance Support: 

  • Identify and support content improvement/SEO optimization on product listings.  Manage and lead improvement priorities with key partners; 

  • Serve as the thought leader on content trends/eMerchandising trends across key customers by providing insight and recommendations to convert consumers through content (ex. .com, Brick & Click, etc.) 

  • Work with eCom and Brick & Click Shopper Marketing teams to define current and future customer needs and ensuring content is ready for customer; 

  • Lead the eCommerce ratings and review enrollment process.

Analysis, Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Analyze and identify merchandising trends across eCommerce partners by developing and providing insight and recommendations to the content team;

  • Analyze performance data of marketing activities and campaigns. Also, continually optimize for efficiency and effectiveness; 

  • Analyze sales reports, communicating histories and trends to find insights and growth opportunities to develop actionable plans for our categories;

  • Analyze competitive brands by identifying market share, product offerings and promotions; 

  • Provide additional reporting as requested.

Additional responsibilities assigned as special needs may arise and should be considered as important as brand/business responsibilities noted above.

The perfect person will have: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or Digital Marketing, or other equivalent field;

  • 3+ years eCommerce or online merchandising experience through Amazon’s Advertising platform and Vendor / Seller Central;

  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail and proven ability to drive progress with competing and shifting priorities while juggling multiple projects;. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical and critical-thinking skills;

  • Highly proactive and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and must be deadline oriented;

  • Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal;

  • Ability to be comfortable working in a highly-matrixed environment;

  • A startup/hustle/roll-up-your-sleeve mentality;

  • Ability to contribute collaboratively to a team while also working independently and proactively to analyze issues and improve results;

  • Possess strong understanding of the relationships between page views, conversion and other relevant web-based KPIs and action information accordingly;

  • A keen view of the rapidly changing eCommerce environment including trends, systems and competition;

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Some other nice to haves: 

  • Experience with web based analytics software a plus (Profitero, efundamentals, Sellics) 

  • Bazaarvoice Ratings & Review System or equivalent experience a plus
