We are looking for an eCommerce Product Content Specialist who will grow at our corporate office in Marysville, Ohio.  

We are in need of an eCommerce Product Content Specialist who is creatively minded, adept at storytelling who also possesses super strong project management skills to support product content creation for, but not limited to, copy, images, enhanced content, etc. Requires a collaborative mindset, strong process improvement skills, attention to detail, and broad eCommerce/digital acumen. Must be able to effectively use their marketing and product knowledge to produce optimized product content to drive sales and conversion online. 

An integral part of this position requires a great deal of problem-solving, analytical skills, and regular communication across multiple cross-functional teams and with external partners.  Must be able to juggle many priorities, and assess content quality quickly, to identify areas to enhance for a better consumer experience, with a focus on content integrity and accuracy.

This role will report to the eCommerce Content Production & Syndication Manager.

To thrive in this role you must:

  • Understand and have experience with product content creation and optimization to ensure all content is created on time, without error and adheres to required approval processes;

  • Must be able to successfully manage copywriters and design resources to produce high-quality content for product copy (titles, bullets and descriptions), product images and enhanced content (A+, videos, etc.);

  • Be able to critically review, proofread and edit content and copy for quality, accuracy, grammar, and punctuation; Manage ongoing content compliance with legal, marketing, regulatory, etc.;

  • Oversee internal and external resources for content development and work closely with all key cross-functional partners including Marketing, Packaging, Legal, Regulatory, Master Data, Business Development Teams to manage complex SKU information;

  • Be able to manage a large volume of product information with a high level of attention to detail and quality control. Also, maintain an ongoing understanding of retailer content requirements to support online product listings across retailer sites; 

  • Support internal digital asset management (DAM) platforms for content management including, but not limited to: DAM, Product Database, PIM, etc.

  • Manage content budgets as needed and provide weekly status report updates as requested. 

Additional responsibilities assigned as special needs may arise and should be considered as important as brand/business responsibilities noted above.

The perfect person will have:

  • Bachelor Degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications; or other equivalent related field;

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success managing digital/creative design and production projects successfully;

  • Must be results-focused: master level of project management, proven ability to drive progress with competing and shifting priorities, setting and meeting deadlines, managing resources and budgets, ownership in deliverables, quality control, persistence in accomplishing goals for self and others at highest standards;

  • Must be able to analyze, conceptualize, and logically organize information with a high degree of precision and accuracy;

  • Demonstrated familiarity with the creative process (design, photography, editorial, and the like), optimizing content, as well as managing creative projects from conception through implementation;

  • Experience managing image assets in a PIM or DAM and solid understanding of digital files, for example: image modes (RGB vs. CMYK), image resolutions, pixel ratios, 360 spins, file formats (JPG, PNG, TIF), etc. 

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills with ability to manage complex systems and processes;

  • Demonstrated history of being a self-starter and working independently;

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with acute attention to detail and strong proofreading skills;

  • Ability to be comfortable working in a highly-matrixed environment and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects and priorities at once;

  • Tech savviness with an ability to learn new software systems quickly;

  • A high energy, positive attitude with the drive and motivation to constantly improve;

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel is required;

Some other nice to have’s:

  • Experience in eRetailer/Omni retailers (Amazon, Lowe’s, Walmart, etc.) or other CPG company preferred but not required;

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, etc.) is a plus;

  • Editorial experience writing and editing copy, familiarity with SEO best practices and keyword research tools;  

  • Experience with eCommerce content syndication platforms (ex. Amazon Vendor Central, Syndigo CXH, etc.).
