We are looking for a Financial Analyst, Credit who will join our Scotts Canada Finance team.

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain and Sales
  • Play a key role in streamlining credit processes to find efficiencies in clearing customer accounts
  • Complete customer account analysis and cash applications for our national accounts
  • Investigate deductions in customer payments and resolve these questions in order to collect these short payments
  • Review accounts receivable aging metrics including % A/R past due and Days Sales Outstanding
  • Support processing of trade credits
  • Review new customer applications and make recommendations for credit limit approval

Key requirements for the perfect candidate:

  • Plan to complete CPA designation (or designation in progress);
  • Desire to learn in the finance and accounting area;
  • Exhibit intellectual curiosity and ability to problem solve;
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet deadlines;
  • Possess strong communication skills both internally and externally;
  • Operate with a sense of ownership;
  • Feel comfortable with ambiguity.

Some other nice to have’s:

  • Experience with SAP R/3 & Business Warehouse
  • Experience working in the consumer packaged goods industry
