We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic who will join our Oxford, PA facility.

  • Starting pay rate is $24.00+/hr based on experience

  • 1st shift is from 6:00AM-4:30PM M-F plus Saturday during busy season

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Work incident and injury free.

  • Repair and maintain Rolling Stock Equipment, such as yard tractors and trailers, front-end loaders, indoor and outdoor forklifts, man lifts, pick-up trucks, screening and composting equipment, and all equipment as necessary.

  • Maintains records of jobs performed in order to develop a history of repairs so that preventative maintenance can be performed.

  • Record keeping meeting or exceeding DOT requirements for over-the-road equipment.

  • Cutting and welding, including light steel fabrication.

  • Troubleshoot various mechanical equipment and piping systems to determine the root cause of equipment failures.

  • Operate heavy equipment, forklift, and man lifts.

  • Shift work may be required.

  • Assists in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.

  • Completes any other tasks as needed or as directed by management, assisting the Plant Maintenance personnel on jobs and filling in as needed.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Prior relevant maintenance experience.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Ability for prolonged and repetitive motions of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead and arms/hands dexterity.

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

  • Teachable attitude and ability to learn on the job in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to read numbers, product descriptions, and maintain written records.

  • Ability to push buttons, monitor controls, and perform basic math functions.
