We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager (Forecasting and Replenishment) who will join our Independent National Account team interacting with 40+ customers. This position will be based at The Scotts Miracle-Gro office in Marysville, OH.

The Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in meeting sales and supply chain goals. They will lead a team of Sr. Analysts who will focus on specific accounts and forecasting activities. This role interacts weekly with the sales team and other key departments at corporate to develop strategies and forecasts that influence ordering and sell thru. Key responsibilities include forecasting, adjusting for trends or features and inventory control, through excellent customer service. This role influences replenishment decisions and insures those actions are incorporated into planning, therefore contributing to favorable cash flow and inventory objectives.

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Responsible for facilitating the demand planning process with Sales in order to develop an accurate and predictable shipment forecast.
  • Provide forecasting and sales support services for multiple categories.
  • Manage in-stock levels, inventory positions and POS trends by working with sales and customer contacts.
  • Actively participate with Business Development sales team in customer meetings.
  • Maintain alignment and shipment flow with .Operations and Distribution locations.
  • Become an expert in replenishment and transportation systems to provide support and direction based on customer requirements.
  • Manage and develop a team of Sr. Analysts.
  • Maintain daily internal cross-functional interactions with the business.
  • Partner with the sales teams to provide expertise in Lawn and Garden.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Retail, Inventory Planning/forecasting role.
  • Proficient in MS Office; including advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • System Experience using SAP, JDA (Manugistics) or similar ERP systems. 
  • Business experience in Demand and Replenishment Planning in either a retail or consumer products manufacturing environment.
  • General understanding of statistics, inventory management, and retail replenishment preferred.
