We are looking for a Planning and Replenishment Analyst who will grow at our Mississauga offices.

The Planning and Replenishment Analyst is responsible for ensuring that product is planned and deployed to the appropriate warehouses as required by the Monthly Consensus Forecast(s). This will include collaboration with associates at various plants and warehouses to ensure that all production requirements are met and that product is in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantities.

New Sku Readiness / Channel Management is also a key area of this role and ensuring transition of new / changing sku’s are in stock as committed by Marketing / Brand to Sales.

In this role you will :

  • Manage production requirements based on monthly forecasts by reviewing current on hands+ in transits and maintain ideal months coverage and safety stocks, while adhering to sku MOQ’s.
  • Support and develop collaborative relationships with US production facilities and US planning counter-parts and Canadian copacking facilities.
  • Manage Canadian third party non turn key co-packing facilities by ensuring that all packaging components are available through initial packaging negotiations, PO creation and receiving prior to all FG production requirements.PDQ / Mixed Pallet Management – ensure all packaging and PDQ components (finished) goods are available and shipped to facilitate PDQ production plans.
  • Reviewing / analyzing annual splits based on on sku’s / customers listings or delistings / change in channel management and updating necessary documents accordingly.Manage deployment and product availability through all ship points in Canada. This involves entering PO’s / Deliveries / Dispatch forms / communications of such information to Logistics / corresponding plants.
  • Reviewing and monitoring inventory levels at East / West DC’s and where needed, creating PO’s to move product to ensure coverage vs forecasts at both DC’s.
  • Review Weekly Consumption / Short to Order / Fill Rate – Cut Reports and make necessary call outs to Sales / Customer Service on sku shorts / risks / cuts / shipment delays / etc..
  • Review POS reports for highlights on sku / product risk’s.
  • Target 98.5% product fill-rates for total company.
  • Target Ending Inventory & Turns within budgeted levels.
  • Maintain unplanned inefficient movements within budgeted levels.
  • Maintain E & O risk within budgeted levels.
  • Weekly / Bi-weekly Production site meetings to review current production plan /capacity constraints / raw component material constraints / logistics concerns, etc
  • Prepare for cross-functional Consensus Meeting to review rolled up forecasts across all customers, focusing on forecast variances period over period. When significant variances exist ensure ‘callouts’/communication are made to ensure an understanding of demand implications.Work closely with Sales, Marketing, U.S. Packaging Engineers / Creative, U.S. Data Management, and U.S. Portfolio Team to understand new product launches, packaging requirements, phase in and phase out strategies as well system requirements and follow ups.
  • Manage through SAP PLM new Canadian product launches or packaging updates. Work closely with U.S. Portfolio Manager to ensure keyflows are moving and product setup takes place. Communicate inventory situation to sales/marketing and to translate pipeline requirements into production plans.Complete transition plans for all changing Canadian sku’s and upload into PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system.
  • Report stock availability dates for all new items (i.e. Dec. 1st of new fiscal year) and communicate to Sales / Customer service / Portfolio Team members.Manage / conduct 1st off inspections on all new / changing sku’s in collaboration with Brand / Marketing. Validate sku BOM information, provide NAFTA updates to Distribution, & confirm sku parameter set ups in SAP & JDA.
  • Monitor monthly variance with coverage report and identify any excess SKU’s (month to month). Work with Sales team to push existing excess stock through based on low forecasts/change in consumption/demand. Ensure these sku’s are being captured on the Firesale listing / Channel Managed Report.Monitor current production levels to ensure production is reduced where there is potential to end with excess stock at end of year.
  • Report all E&O items for Finance for both finished goods and component inventory based on new sku introductions / sku rationalizations / discontinuations / etcReview annual Budget Forecast and production plan accordingly.
  • Send out Budget Plans to each US plant / Canadian Third Party Co-packer. This may include separate breakdown plans for components.Create Contracts or provide information for US counterparts to create for Canadian specific components / FG’s requirements.

The perfect person will have :

  • Business/Engineering diploma/degree three years Supply Chain Planning & Replenishment experience in high seasonal and/or C.P.G. (Consumer Products Goods) manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of inventory management, demand planning and replenishment process
  • Understanding of cross-functional roles and responsibilities related to forecasting and the output of the forecasting process

Some other nice to have’s :

  • Ability to communicate in French would be an asset
  • SAP, JDA, and MS Office (Excel, Word, Access) is strongly preferred
