We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will join our Sales Finance team in Marysville, Ohio.

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst supporting our second largest customer, Lowe’s.  

The Senior Financial Analyst is a strategic partner to Sales Leadership supporting the Lowe’s Business Development Team (BDT) - bringing options and ideas that generate positive ROI's and drive sales growth. This person will build collaborative relationships across the internal sales, customer marketing and supply chain groups by supporting, challenging and building on programs and recommendations that facilitate sales growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong balance of quantitative analytical skills, creativity, and business knowledge. We are seeking someone with demonstrated initiative, time management skills, flexibility, and ability to interact effectively with multiple business functions.  The position could potentially relocate to Mooresville, NC or do regular travel once the BDT office reopens.


In this role you will:

  • Closely track and report trade programs internally and to Lowe’s.

  • Develop/monitor program analytics and communicate performance to BDT management team.

  • Provide "ground level" business knowledge and insights to enhance effectiveness of business plans being developed.

  • Assist with the sales and expense forecasting processes, sales and margin analysis, customer point of sale performance, business plan analytics, and other projects as assigned. 

  • Provide insight into financial performance and analyze the BDT P&L. 

  • Clearly and regularly communicate results to the BDT and Corporate.

  • Become an expert in SMG systems including SAP and BW as well as appropriate customer systems.

  • Proactively find ways to streamline business processes and improve efficiency.

  • Provide analytics, both quantitative & qualitative, to support various business decisions and business development opportunities.

  • Build a customer facing strategic relationship with the customer finance lead as well as the merchant leadership team. 

  • The position requires proactively collaborating with the customer on trade programs, mechanics, processes and systems.

  • Serve as the resident financial expert, partnering with the team and having the confidence and ability to push back and challenge current or established thinking and practices.


The perfect person will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting. 

  • Three to five or more years with business experience in finance and/or analytics. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Knowledge of a retail environment including key performance indicators of retailers.

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to work effectively cross-functionally within the organization.

  • Strong initiative, intellectually curious and results-oriented.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.


Some other nice to have’s:

  • Systems experience using SAP and AO.

  • Previous experience working in a sales, retail environment, and/or consumer products manufacturing environment.
