We are looking for a Senior Technical Analyst, Workday HCM to join our team remotely!

The Workday HCM Senior Technical Analyst will report to the HCM Technical Manager and will serve as a subject matter expert providing technical HRIT support for the organization. This role provides a broad scope of services to support the execution of HRIT technical activities and functional processes. This role will deliver accurate and timely system configuration, technical process and architecture solutioning, and management of organizational and job functions, as well as delivering outstanding customer service to internal and external clients. This role will develop and troubleshoot system or integration issues as well as monitoring and supporting both. The role will work with other HR functional areas and Scotts business units to accomplish work initiatives. 

What you'll do in this role: 

  • Serve as an HRIT partner supporting HCM areas in Workday, including Performance Management, Core Compensation, Talent, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Payroll, Timekeeping & Learning 

  • Serve as a strong consultative partner to HR Business Partners and service delivery 

  • Design and maintain system configuration, including Business Processes, Supervisory Organizations, Custom Organizations, Locations, etc. 

  • Develop and maintain integrations with Workday and both internal and external vendor systems 

  • Analyze system functionality that will help drive more efficient processes and provide recommendations to HR and the business on new solutions 

  • Test, validate, and implement Business Processes (BP’s), integrations and changes in Workday 

  • Work in order to meet expected business performance goals by providing full range of customer service by collaborating with functional leads 

  • Provide input to Workday HCM Technical Manager, Workday Team Members, and customers as appropriate 

  • Participate in scheduled and ad-hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen 

  • Other projects and duties as may be required by business needs 

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Understanding of HR Operations and experience in employee data management 

  • Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the customers’ needs and situation 

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously 

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member; able to influence others and command a presence as required 

  • Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess business requirements 

  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and customer service oriented 

  • Ability to think clearly under pressure and in stressful situations 

  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide support; high technical aptitude with the ability to grasp technical concepts and details 

  • Knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware, and other equipment 

  • Knowledge of software release schedules and testing processes for both regression and new functionality 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines 

  • Experience in designing and implementing ETL processes and the use of ETL tools 

  • Ability to work with third parties on data related inquiries 

  • Experience with Web Services and APIs 

  • Understanding of basis database architecture, tables, functional interactions, and recognition and understanding of impacts to downstream systems 

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle both planned and unplanned responsibilities 

  • Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally while flexing communication style to the specific audience 

Education & Experience: 

  • Minimum 5 years experience in related field 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Human Resources or equivalent experience 

  • Workday experience or training preferred to include tenant wide configuration, business process functionality and integration support 

  • HR functional experience preferred 

  • HR applications experience preferred
