We’re looking for a Demand Fulfillment Sr. Analyst to grow with us at our corporate headquarters in Marysville, OH!

If you enjoy a fast-paced, high energy and seasonal environment then you will fit in well as a Demand Fulfillment Sr. Analyst for Scotts Miracle-Gro.  On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for planning, execution, and management of the finished goods replenishment process for internal and/or external manufactured products, including developing production plans, deploying product into the Scotts North America warehouse network, rebalancing product as needed, and managing product transitions/launches.

In this role you will:

  • Utilize the JDA planning system to develop weekly production requirements for manufacturing sites; issue and maintain purchase orders, monitor production schedule compliance.
  • Provide one point of contact for all plant-specific production related questions from other functions, and utilize problem-solving skills to collaborate with other internal functions and/or external contacts to resolve issues.
  • Develop and execute most cost-effective plan to deploy production and maintain inventory supply across warehouse network, balanced against fill rate results.  Monitor timeliness of shipments, and work with sites, carriers and warehouses to ensure on-time shipment from production site and on-time arrival at warehouses.
  • Participate in annual execution of new SKU initiatives.  Includes participation in project planning meetings with other internal functions, and ensuring product is available to ship from across the network to meet target availability dates.
  • Drive reduction in excess and obsolete inventory exposure of finished goods and components through strategic production planning and collaboration with MRP team.  
  • Key metrics that tie to this key work include customer order fill rate (service), inventory turns, inventory dollars, production site compliance, and distribution/transportation cost.  

The perfect person will have:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2-5 years experience in a planning environment
  • Production or planning systems experience using SAP, JDA or similar
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

Some other nice to have’s:

  • Supply chain processes and procedures within a Manufacturing, Retail or CPG company
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across the organization to accomplish strategic objectives
  • Working knowledge of JDA Master Planning or Fulfillment
