We are looking for a Deployment Analyst who will join our Scott's Miracle-Gro team!

This position will be based at The Scotts Miracle-Gro world headquarters in Marysville, a suburb of Columbus, OH.  Not familiar with Columbus? Visit

This role is responsible for the development, execution, and management of the plan for deployment of finished goods into the Scotts Mircale-Gro warehouse network, along with rebalancing product as needed, and developing weekly transportation plans.  

What you’ll do in this role:

Utilize the JDA planning tool to develop and execute the most cost-effective plan to deploy production, and maintain supply across the warehouse network14 different Contract Manufacturing Sites.

Ensure the plan is optimized to achieve fill rate results while reducing transportation costs.  

Monitor timeliness of shipments, and work with contract manufacturing sites, carriers, and warehouses to ensure on-time shipment from the production site and on-time arrival at warehouses.  

Review daily inventory levels at warehouses against customer orders to proactively address service issues

Provide one point of contact for all deployment related questions from other functions. 

Participate in annual execution of new SKU initiatives.  Collaborate with the supply planner and customer supply chain teams to ensure product is available to ship from across the network to meet target availability dates.

Drive continuous improvement by working with internal contacts as needed to resolve recurring issues. 

Key metrics for this role include customer order fill rate (service), inventory turns, and distribution/transportation cost.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 2+ years of experience in a production planning environment. 
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Production or planning systems experience using SAP, JDA, or similar preferred
  • Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work across several different divisions with several different contract sites
  • Supply chain processes and procedures within a Manufacturing CPG company preferred.
