We’re looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee up to 10-30 warehouse associates in our Marysville, OH Distribution Center! 

If you enjoy a fast-paced, high energy and seasonal manufacturing environment then you will fit in well as a Shipping Supervisor for Scotts Miracle-Gro.  On a day-to-day basis you are responsible for all aspects of loading and unloading trucks and warehousing products produced from our production plants.

In this role you will: 

  • Lead  shift operations within the Marysville Distribution Center.

  • Ensure the customer shipping schedule is obtained and review the following shifts and lend help as needed.

  • Direct our distribution associates to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.

  • Work with the packaging department to produce great product quality as well as ensure 100% packaging uptime associated with the distribution center.

  • Utilize SAP to monitor inventory and quality; make adjustments when required.

  • Train and develop associates in surge and loading procedures as well as customer specific requirements.  

  • Train and enforce Scotts Miracle-Gro policies and procedures.

  • Ensure a safe and compliant work area.

  • Monitor and order services or supplies as needed.

  • Manage overtime requirements based on manpower needs that are balanced by the budget.

  • Work with the returns coordinator on processing returned product.

  • Set and maintain high standards of housekeeping.

The perfect person will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related study.

  • At least 5 years experience in warehouse supervision or supervision in a production environment.

  • Basic understanding of distribution, transportation, inventory control, and freight routing.

  • Computer skills including, but not limited to, Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.

  • Strong leadership skills and a highly effective communicator with great time management.

  • The ability to adapt to flexible work schedule and/or hours within a seasonal business.  Including weekends during our busy season.

  • Strong administrative and planning skills.

  • SAP experience is preferred.
