We are looking for a Data Steward Analyst who will join our IT team in Marysville, OH.

The Data Steward Analyst is responsible for quality management and governance of core internal and external analytical data for the organization. In this role, you will help to establish and refine data governance and control processes.  Additionally, the data steward is responsible to provide ‘fit for use’ data to enable timely generation of sound end-to-end business insight by ensuring our data is timely, accurate, complete and most importantly, ‘fit for purpose’ for business use cases.  The Data Steward will have responsibility for ensuring consistency and clarity of our data across the organization.

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Engage in the ongoing and detailed evaluation and monitoring of data quality, integrity, accuracy and consistency

  • Identification of anomalies and discrepancies, and the contribution of expertise to understand the root cause and implement corrective measures.

  • Profile data to identify gaps/problems and recommend viable options to resolve.

  • Ensure compliance within global and regional standards

  • Participate in project and technology design reviews

  • Define/support new standards if applicable

  • Actively engage with key internal and external technology partners

  • Analyze the impact of any new requirements on existing solutions

  • Estimation of efforts for issue-resolution and change requests.

  • Responsible for establishing data-quality metrics and requirements, including defining the values, ranges, and parameters that are acceptable for each data element

  • Identify efficiencies and valued added solutions that analyze possibilities, capabilities, and constraints, and recommend alternative business solutions.

  • Document and maintain metadata for data including ownership, definitions, taxonomies, standards, and reference data through proactive discovery, recurring SME engagement, and evaluation of current and future initiatives and capabilities

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 2+ years’ experience in data management

  • Experience developing and maintaining data governance policy

  • Experience developing and maintaining enterprise data catalog

  • Knowledge of data governance and quality management concepts, practices, and procedures

  • Detailed knowledge of data governance and data quality management concepts, practices, and procedures

  • Experience with Informatica data management tools including IDQ, Axon, MDM, and EDC

  • Process oriented with great documentation skills

Non-Technical Skills:

  • Complex problem solving & analysis

  • Present technical information to the business in a manner that is easy to understand

  • Ability to formulate an in-depth technical strategy meeting the needs of supported business functions

  • Formulate roadmap and implementation plan for existing systems within the company.

  • Relationship building with technical and non-technical personnel

  • Align complex technical strategies with business

Education/Training:

  • BS or MS degree in fields such as business, math, data architecture, library science

  • 2+ years of data management experience

  • Ability in managing and communicating data governance plans to internal clients

  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining data catalog

  • Extensive knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Lineage

  • Experience with AWS cloud services: RDS, Glue, Athena, S3 a plus

  • Experience with Neo4j Graph Database, Mulesoft, and Gprahql a plus
