We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Analyst to join the Business Transformation group at our Corporate Headquarters.

The IT Infrastructure Engineer will partner with all areas of BT and the business to support hardware provisioning, software installation, and configuration in a secure environment. The ideal candidate creates, maintains, and owns infrastructure related technical specifications, designs, and schedules. The role includes both day-to-day operational support of the SMG computing environment and related platforms, as well as project support.

In this role you will:

  • Coordinating infrastructure activity to address corporate computing needs. This would include identifying and acquiring resources to meet the needs of projects and applications.

  • Windows system administration, including problem identification and resolution, configuration changes, patching, and adding and removing software.

  • Architecting, provisioning, and deploying virtual instances in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure

  • Creating and maintaining shell (ksh) and PERL scripts.

  • Creation and maintenance of diagrams and documentation describing various aspects of the computing environment.

  • Datacenter work including installing and removing servers and cables as well as maintaining data center work areas.

The perfect person will have:

  • BS/BA in Engineering, Math, or Science required; BS/BA Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to operate as a member of a cohesive and productive team.

  • Robust troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills for technical and business audiences.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and requirements.

  • Strong desire to learn new material and accept new challenges.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.

  • Knowledge of project management concepts and deliverables.

  • Proficient in technical documentation.

Some other nice to haves:

  • Familiar with common internet protocols and services including TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSH, TFTP, NIS, LDAP & AD.

  • Windows experience in either academic or professional environments.

  • Hands-on experience with appropriate infrastructure platforms (redundant with previous item).

  • Experience with system and application monitoring, software distribution, patching and maintenance in a Windows environment.

  • Technical knowledge with core infrastructure services across Systems, Network, and Security platforms.

  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.

  • Experience with Cloud and SaaS providers for secure infrastructure platform design.

  • Working knowledge of tools used for vulnerability management and security compliance.

  • Working knowledge of infrastructure health monitoring tools and processes.

  • Integrating servers and applications with other critical infrastructure components such as load balancers, reverse proxies, firewalls, IDS, SSO, and IAM.
