Scotts Miracle-Gro is looking for a Material Master Data Analyst. The Master Data Analyst works closely with Product Portfolio Managers, Marketing, Orders to Cash, Purchasing, Plants, Sales, Finance, and Business Transformation teams to support assigned Divisions for Material Master set ups.  Role requires individuals who can work independently and guide or lead cross functional team discussions on the recommended Master Data practices to resolve issues and accomplish material master set ups and maintenance in accordance with Scotts and Master Data stated policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain material master data within the scope of departmental guidelines for all business groups
  • Interface with Marketing, Orders to Cash, Planning, Distribution, Purchasing, and Regulatory to ensure accurate master data set-ups and maintenance in SAP
  • Provide assistance and/or guidance to Project Teams as needed to gather “Business Requirements” to set-up new and/or maintain SKUs
  • Provide front line Administrative support for the PLM SKU set-up process
  • Provide user community training on SKU set-up process
  • Create and maintain Material Master Data work instructions
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement projects to automate and upgrade master data processes and data delivery methods
  • Coordinate other key material related SAP objects including:
    • Assign SKU numbers
    • Assign UPC, EAN and I 2 of 5 codes
    • Assign Product Descriptions
    • Maintain Alternate units of measure
    • GS1 Data Synchronization
    • Maintain Regulatory Restrictions and ByPass tables
  • Support acquisitions and divestitures

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate Degree or higher
  •  Experience using SAP required
  • Two or more years of PC processing, data entry and validation
  • SAP / workflow tools a plus
  • Strong data processing skills
  • Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented
