We are looking for an Assistant Product Manager who will join our Global Portfolio team.

This position will be based at The Scotts Miracle-Gro world headquarters in Marysville, a suburb of Columbus, OH.  Not familiar with Columbus? Visit

 The Assistant Product Manager will support Product Managers with their projects.  The Assistant Product Manager will learn to utilize and work in SAP Product Lifecycle Management system.  They will look at assigned projects and timeline and work collaboratively with others across the organization to achieve the shared objective of launching products on time. They will provide feedback to Product Managers when issues are encountered on projects to elevate their concerns.  As the Assistant Product Manager gains knowledge of the PLM system and process, they will also be executing small projects with guidance from the Product Managers.

In this role you will:

  • Assist Product Managers in managing product development and marketing life cycle utilizing SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. Solely, manage smaller projects from start to finish.
  • Work and meet with cross functional teams (R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Regulatory, Creative) to set project timelines and facilitate priorities. Improve process efficiencies.
  • Provide Ad hoc reporting.

The perfect person will have:

  • Minimum 1 year demonstrated experience in project management.
  • Solid listening, comprehension, and articulation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Drive-for-Results experience examples.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.
