We are looking for an Digital Merchandising Analyst who will grow at our corporate office in Marysville, Ohio.  

The Digital  Merchandising Analyst is responsible maximizing the customer experience and driving revenue growth with a data driven approach concentrating on digital merchandising and content for Direct to Consumer (DTC) and Retailer eCommerce sites. With strong analytical skills and an eye for details, you will serve as the subject matter expert in discovering content recommendations, solutions and trends through data to grow traffic, improve conversion and increase sales.  With a strategic focus on continuous growth across our ecommerce platforms, this plays a crucial role in making that happen.  This requires working cross-functionally to support DTC, Marketing, Retailer and Content teams.

An integral part of this position requires a great deal of problem solving and analytical skills to develop actionable insights. Key responsibilities include using data sets, dashboards and benchmarking to identify trends, issues and opportunities. Then, be able to use insights to develop and implement action plans to drive traffic, conversion and sales across DTC and Retailer sites. 

This role will report to the Manager, eCommerce Marketing.

To thrive in this role you must:

  • Digital Merchandising: Support our DTC team to help enhance consumers' experience, drive traffic and conversion across DTC websites. 
    • Work in collaboration with sales and marketing to execute eCommerce marketing campaigns and programs.
    • Strategize new ways to execute category offerings, product bundles, and cross-sell/up strategies to drive sales volume.
  • Content Performance: Identify and support content improvements on product listings to help increase engagement, conversion and sales.
    • Manage and prioritize requests across DTC sites.
    • Monitor and anticipate new eMerchandising trends and winning tactics, provide insights and recommendations to convert consumers through content (.com, Brick & Click, emerging, DTC).
    • Use insights and data to improve online customer experiences.  
    • Support products by optimizing listings for organic search. 
  • Analytics: Serve as the team’s subject matter expert in digital analytics for our e-commerce accounts. 
    • Support Performance Marketing and agency partners in discovering content recommendations and action items from data driven results;
    • Analyze unstructured data via customer reviews, comments, questions;
    • Benchmark and assess competitor’s online product execution through qualitative and quantitative data points: content quality, integrity, availability, and placement. Utilize Profitero and other analytics platforms as diagnostic and insight-driving tools;
    • Use tools such as PowerBi, Tableau, Profitero to generate reports and visual dashboards;
    • Make recommendations for A/B testing, optimizations, and content strategy;
    • Facilitate meetings to explain analysis and digital analytic performance;
    • Develop and implement action plans based on insights;
    • Provide readiness reporting as needed for accurate seasonal strategy planning.

Additional responsibilities assigned as special needs may arise and should be considered as important as brand/business responsibilities noted above.

The perfect person will have:

  • BA/BS degree in business marketing, finance, statistics, or related field;
  • 3+ years experience in Online/Retail Merchandising, Digital Marketing or Data Analytics;
  • Experience analyzing assortments, and trends to determine gaps and optimize mix;
  • Ability to analyze and report solutions on findings; 
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following: web analytics, SQL, creating and building dashboard visualization, A/B testing; 
  • Proven experience with major consumer brands and how to support/differentiate them in the digital space;
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups;
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadlines;
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail;
  • Creative thinking ability and ability to work independently;
  • Action and results-oriented;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels.

Some other nice to have’s:

  • Experience in eRetailer/Omni retailers (Amazon, Lowe’s, Walmart, etc.) or other CPG company preferred but not required;
  • Experience with eCommerce content syndication platforms (ex. Amazon Vendor Central, Syndigo CXH, etc.);
  • Experience with data analytics platforms (Edge, Profitero, Sellics, etc.).
