We are looking for a Distribution Supervisor who will grow at our Vancouver, WA distribution facility.

The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the distribution operation during their shift as well as working with other departments to promote a safe and productive work environment. This person needs to be a self motivated leader who will set expectations for their team and support all efforts necessary to meet our goals.  

SHIFT: FRIDAY - SUNDAY 5:00AM - 7:30PM

TRAINING: FIRST TWO WEEKS UNDER A NORMAL MONDAY-FRIDAY 8-5

 

What you will do in this role:

  • Lead a team of 20 or more individuals which consists of full-time and temporary associates.

  • Ensure orders are pulled accurately and processed timely to ensure premium customer service.

  • Work with team members to support all inventory processes and protocols as it pertains to picking orders and replenishing bin locations.

  • Manage all building, equipment and COVID safety expectations and documentation for each team member.

  • Utilize SAP to monitor orders, inventory and shipping instructions; make adjustments when required. 

  • Proactively communicate with all trucking companies to ensure orders are processed and shipped out immediately after completion.

  • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure unforeseen bottlenecks in the operation are mitigated.

  • Train and enforce company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure a safe and compliant work area.

  • Monitor and order services or supplies as needed.

  • Manage labor and overtime requirements based on business needs.

  • Work with the returns coordinator on processing returned products.

  • Set and maintain high standards to housekeeping within the Shipping department and all shared spaces.

  • Support all training and development efforts to provide long term career opportunities for employees.

 

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related study.

  • At least 3  years experience in warehouse supervision or supervision in a production environment.

  • In depth knowledge of SAP.

  • Basic understanding of distribution, transportation, inventory control, and freight routing.

  • Computer skills including, but not limited to, MicroSoft Excel, Word, and Access.

  • A passion to coach and mentor a team to make them better in their career.

  • The ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and/or hours within a seasonal business.  Including weekends and nights during the busy season.
