We are looking for a Financial Analyst who will grow at our Mississauga, ON office.

The Financial Analyst will support the Finance Team in the monthly close and forecasting

processes as well as the annual budget preparation. This will include various tasks associated

with financial planning and reporting including full P&L exposure as well as some Balance

Sheet account responsibility. This position will also participate in our stage and gate process for evaluating new product offerings in conjunction with US teams. General Accounting responsibilities will

include month end entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting functions. The position

may also support Ad Hoc requirements at the direction of the Manager, Financial Planning &

Analysis.

In this role you will:

  • Support all areas of business units in planning and analysis
  • Assist in monthly forecast process and annual budget development as required
  • Update financial models, perform analysis of actuals versus plan, complete US reporting requirements
  • Participate in the annual strategic planning process
  • Prepare new product financial analysis
  • Perform general accounting functions including balance sheet reconcilations, reserves, pre-paids, monthly accruals and invoice coding
  • Review and correct cost center entries
  • Assist in presentation preparation and ad hoc finance requests

The perfect person will have:

  • Post-secondary Degree/Diploma, preferably in Finance or Accounting
  • Accounting designation required
  • Fluency in English reflecting ability to communicate professionally (in writing and orallyusing proper grammar and spelling) with internal and external people
  • High proficiency in Excel and SAP required
  • Experience in the CPG preferred

Some other nice to have’s:

  • Superior time management- manage self, time and priorities and deadlines
  • High degree of accuracy in financial statement preparation and month end processing is a must
  • Adaptability
