We are looking for a Fulfillment Planner who will grow at our Vancouver, WA corporate offices. 

This person plans, directs, coordinates and negotiates the procurement of goods, materials and supplies while protecting the company’s interests. The main goal is to minimize costs and maximize ROI through optimal combination of price, quality and delivery of inventory good.

In this role you will:

  • Partner with demand planner to have the right product, at the right time, in the right location

  • Conduct purchasing activities for designated transfers, domestic or international vendor purchases

  • Review and maintain all setup in ERP system and purchasing software to insure timely and accurate purchase orders 

  • Communicate with Demand Planner on needed overrides of Rocky Soft calculations into system for SS (Safety Stock) and lead times

  • Execute proactive inventory management activities to maximize company fill rates to customers in all centers while reducing overstock inventory, return of non-productive inventory and increasing inventory turns

  • Partner with internal customers to resolve material availability or quality concerns and develop long term strategies for Supply Chain optimization

  • Responsible for timely response to all stakeholders both internal and external

  • Responsible for cost control management and consistently looking for ways to improve our bottom line (better vendor terms, prices, volume rebates, freight allowances, etc.) and aid in improving our overall level of service to our customers

  • Evaluate suppliers to assure on time deliveries in correct quantities

  • Prepare for and participate in regularly scheduled purchasing and vendor meetings

  • Support implementation of policies and procedures consistent with objectives of the purchasing department

The perfect person will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field

  • Minimum 3 years experience in procurement of goods, materials and supplies

  • Strong understanding of sales, marketing and operations in a distribution company

  • Strong analytical, auditing and research skills

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus

  • Understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and practices

  • Ability to maintain composure in high stress situations with suppliers, peers and internal customers

  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results

  • Experience with Rocky Soft purchasing, SAP and Epicor ERP system
