We are looking for a Full Stack Developer, Web Applications who will join our Digital Marketing team in Marysville, Ohio.

As a Full-Stack Developer on our Digital Marketing and Technology team, you will be responsible for both front- and back-end development to our family of category-leading, lawn and garden brand and ecommerce websites. Working as part of a cross-functional technology team, you will have additional, specific responsibilities for software updates including 3rd-party maintenance, testing, and implementation of security improvements, and providing general support of various web infrastructures.

To support these functions, the candidate is preferred to be knowledgeable in object-oriented programming, networking, and application layer security.

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Ensure web site infrastructure is up to date with system and security updates;

  • Lead the team in best practices in the areas of data privacy, data integrity, and secure coding practices;

  • Design and code to meet business and UX requirements;

  • Stay up-to-date on software and platform updates;

  • Develop implementation plans with minimal impact on ecommerce platform performance and consumer experience;

  • Perform and lead software updates with various internal technology teams;

  • Maintain code integrity and organization; creating specifications and document best practices for all applications, libraries, and code being developed or updated;

  • Complete unit testing and cross-functional integration testing for solutions;

  • Provide timely production support for break-fix issues and needs;

  • Assist in gathering requirements, design, and development for both minor and major system enhancements;

  • Support production environment by troubleshooting system issues and providing solutions or process improvement options;

  • Ensure user documentation is up-to-date with changes to processes, new processes, and system design changes;

  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, decision-making skills and ability to move through ambiguity effectively;

  • Ability to communicate timely and effectively with team members and IT and business stakeholders;

  • Ensure the business systems are secure and reliable supporting continuous operation of business needs;

  • Collaborate with internal business partners and works cross-functionally with departmental team members.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Engineering, MIS or Computer Science;

  • 5 or more years of front- and back-end development experience, including debugging;

  • High degree of proficiency with HTML5, XML, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, Magento and Drupal;

  • Experience with SAP interfaces to web applications;

  • Experience with VMs, cloud development (Google, Azure, AWS), and network communications;

  • Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks, including Jquery, Scriptaculous, KnockoutJS;

  • Experience with code versioning, particularly GitHub;

  • Demonstrated, production experience with Content Management Systems and ecommerce platforms (Drupal, Magento);

  • Familiarity with Magento 2 directory structures, theme development, customization template files, and the Magento fallback system;

  • Familiarity with Drupal custom module development, maintenance and dependency; management, and exposure to Acquia’s Site Factory on Drupal;

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
