We are looking for a Workday HCM Master Data Analyst who will join our Human Resources IT team. The team is located in Columbus, OH. We are open to relocation or remote work. 

As the HCM Master Data Analyst you will deliver accurate and timely monitoring and auditing of master data, system configuration and management of organizational and job functions, as well as delivering outstanding customer service to internal and external clients. This role will be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of our Associate master data,  troubleshoot system issues, as well as monitoring and supporting both.  The role will work with other HR functional areas and Scotts business units to accomplish work initiatives.

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Performs audits of various datasets to ensure HR data integrity and efficient processing of HR data; develops business rules to validate data to maintain ongoing data integrity.

  • Promotes data standardization and recommends best practices to support business needs.

  • Maintains data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.

  • Ability to maintain HR information system records, compile reports, and retrieve information

  • Create simple report queries in Workday to respond to ad-hoc reporting requests regarding master HR data. 

  • Serve as an HRIT partner supporting HCM areas in Workday, including Performance Management, Core Compensation, Talent, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, and Payroll 

  • Provide input to Workday HCM Functional Manager, Workday Team Members, and customers as appropriate

  • Supports new HR system configuration, implementations and integrations to include Supervisory Organizations, Custom Organizations, Locations, business rules, workflows, etc.

  • Test, validate, and implement Business Processes (BP’s) and changes in Workday

  • Participate in scheduled and ad-hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years of equivalent experience

  • Workday (all modules) experience or training preferred to include tenant wide configuration and business process functionality

  • Understanding of HR Operations and experience in employee data management

  • Strong analytical execution with thoroughness, accuracy, and focus on data integrity.

  • Identify risks and opportunities, brainstorm innovative solutions, and drive actions to quick resolution.

  • Deeply curious about business, highly motivated to have an impact on prospects/customers, and broadly interested in leveraging technology to solve business problems.

  • Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the customers’ needs and situation

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
