We are looking for a HR Project Manager who will join our Scotts Miracle-Gro team in Marysville, OH.

The Human Resources Project Manager will report to the Director of Solutions and People Analytics, HR and will serve as the subject matter expert providing coordination and completion of Human Resource projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role provides a broad scope of services to support the execution of such projects. This role will assist in compiling project budgets and teams, partnering with COE teams and the technical team on meetings to understand project requirements, helping determine project milestones, assigning responsibilities to owners, assessing project risks and mitigations, and monitoring, summarizing, and reporting on progress of projects. The role will work with other HR functional areas and Scotts business units to accomplish work initiatives.

What you’ll do in this role:

● Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.

● Develop comprehensive project plans that merge stakeholder requirements with organizational goals and coordinate appropriate team members during all project phases, from initial development through implementation including schedules, dependencies, critical paths, and other required project collateral.

● Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with appropriate stakeholders to approve and implement beneficial changes.

● Review proposed modifications with regard to project budget, including scope changes and obtain alignment with the appropriate stakeholders on any budget increases.

● Lead project team members to ensure collaboration across teams, projects and programs.

● Monitor project progress continuously and create detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones, deliverables and budget.

● Communicate proactively with all team members and stakeholders to identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.

● Assist in the process of acquisition of supplemental resources and materials as needed before and during projects by talking with team members and stakeholders.

● Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with stakeholders and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news.

● Contribute to the improvement and modernization of program and project management practices, tools and processes.

What you’ll need to be successful:

● Hands-on experience in project management, program management and/or release management working on software or technology platform projects.

● Creativity in discovering actionable results and ability to succeed in a collaborative, fast-paced, global environment.

● Ability to be an influential member of a highly-integrated and cross-functional team composed of both technical and non-technical members.

● Deeply curious about business, highly motivated to have an impact on prospects/customers, and broadly interested in leveraging technology to solve business problems.

● Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the customers’ needs and situation

● Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to establish strong relationships with all levels of an organization and flex communication style to the specific audience.

● Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with HR Business Partners and end-users

● Strong attention to detail

● Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution

● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

Education & Experience:

● Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Human Resources or equivalent experience

● Two or more years of applicable project management experience

● PMP, Certified Scrum Master, or equivalent professional certification preferred

● HR functional experience preferred

● HR applications experience preferred

● Workday experience a plus
