We are looking for an IT Logistics Operations Support, Senior analyst who will join our Informations Technology aka Business Transformations team in Marysville, Ohio.

Efficient logistics processes and systems are of strategic importance to the Scotts Company in maintaining its leadership position in the Lawn, Gardens and Controls category. The Sr. Analyst, Logistics Operations Support is responsible for managing, supporting, and improving the following global business processes:

  • Shipping Execution and Transportation Management
  • Warehouse Management
  • Inventory Management

The Sr. Analyst, Logistics Operations Support will also support RF scanning and continuous improvement projects.  A strong drive, work ethic, and self-sufficiency will be critical to success in this role.

What you’ll do in this role:

The Sr. Analyst, Logistics Operations Support is responsible for warehouse functionality within SAP and associated applications and tools and must have a keen understanding of the related business processes listed above.   They will be primarily responsible for maintaining the fleet of RF scanning devices operated across Scotts’ manufacturing and warehouse facilities.  Additionally, they will complete SAP configuration changes and working with the development team, implement code changes to resolve production issues and improve processes.

  • Partner with internal infrastructure teams to effectively support and maintain RF scanning systems;
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams along with external partners to support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Build, test and deploy software packages and profiles to RF scanning devices using mobile device management  system;
  • Write and maintain detailed and effective documentation for RF profile builds and SAP design and development activities;
  • Perform SAP or related system configuration as required to support functional business requirements;
  • Execute (for projects) and support procurement of RF scanning equipment and accessories.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications or Information Systems or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience;
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience in a corporate environment supporting supply chain operations;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience providing first and second level support for RF scanning devices in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment;
  • Experience managing and supporting mobile device management software such as Ivanti Avalanche or VMware Airwatch preferred;
  • Configuration and functional application development experience in SAP EWM and/or SAP ECC preferred;
  • Operational (business side) application experience in logistics processes preferred​;
  • Travel of up to 10% required in support of RF scanning projects, RF device maintenance, and warehouse operational support as needed.
