In this role you will: Lead by example, and promote a culture of safety and environmental protection in the workplace Ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of a range of equipment and machinery Work with site managers and other supervisors to promote and achieve the overall objectives of the site Meticulously track data pertaining to established KPIs and develop new KPIs, as required Manage preventative maintenance schedules and planned shutdowns Control expenditures on parts, supplies and labor Ensure planned and ad hoc repairs are executed to keep all equipment running smoothly and safely Ensure that equipment is maintained as per vendor specifications. Update equipment manuals, drawings, operating instructions, etc. if improvements or modifications to equipment are made Responsible for planning and organizing work, distributing tasks to the team, overseeing work progress and performance Manage certain capital expenditure projects Advise maintenance and processing teams about correct operation of equipment Build teams, motivate individuals and solve problems to achieve results Communicate well with senior management, other supervisors, and the team Develop employees by providing advice, training, encouragement and coaching Ensure that workers are well-trained and have the skills and knowledge they need to do their jobs safely and effectively Develop Standard Operating Procedures and ensure they are followed Help develop a culture of continuous improvement Comply with legislation and regulations concerning safety, employment and protection of the environment The perfect person will have: A safety-oriented mindset 3+ years of supervisor experience in an industrial setting Strong organizational, leadership, communication skills Excellent autonomy, able to work under pressure in a moving environment Electrical troubleshooting experience is a must Mechanical aptitude and experience with the installation of motors, gearboxes, pulleys, sprockets bearings, familiar with conveyors, screeners an asset, welding, soldering Experience with automated packaging equipment is an asset PLC experience with Allen Bradley is a definite asset
