We are looking for a Manager, CRM and Consumer Data who will join our Direct to Consumer Marketing team.

Scotts Miracle-Gro (SMG) is seeking a creative and data-driven marketer to join the team to lead our lifecycle email marketing and CRM strategy for our suite of brands. Working within a team of strategic marketers and brand managers, the CRM lead is responsible for driving measurable results through effective marketing communications. Leveraging a combination of data, testing, experience and gut, the Senior CRM Marketing Manager will support strategic and tactical plans for rolling out new email marketing initiatives and establishing lifecycle customer communications.  The process includes research, planning, coordination, copy writing, testing, design, execution and analysis of results. This position collaborates closely with internal teams and external agencies across multiple offices and time zones.

In this role you will:

  • Build lifecycle programs for nurturing prospects into opportunities and opportunities into paying customers.
  • Set the strategy and determine the roadmap for developing and improving the impact of customer relationship marketing programs and targeting key customers segments within an ecommerce business model.
  • Dramatically improve our customer retention efforts to ensure that SMG creates profitable relationships with its customers and develop unique programs that lead our customer base into higher profitability levels.
  • Develop a highly targeted email acquisition and retention campaign that drives conversion and engagement among our various target audiences.
  • Implement mobile marketing programs to deeper customer relationships.
  • Lead SMG's site marketing strategy to develop conversion funnels that: decrease bailers, upsell customers and drive ecommerce engagement.
  • Identify and apply best practices to measure, analyze, test and suggest improvements to lifecycle marketing program performance. Partner with analytics team to deliver program results and further analysis.

  • Team player; demonstrated ability to lead and influence the sales, operations, product, technology and finance functions to meet business objectives.
  • Creative problem solver with a history of performance excellence with a balance of big-picture thinking and detailed execution.
  • Strong track record of developing and maintaining highly collaborative cross-functional relationships and a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate marketing messages and concepts through various mediums.
  • Internally motivated and enjoy working independently, as well as collaboratively, in a team environment.
  • Strong insightful analytical skills and good business judgment.
  • 7-10 years or more of marketing relationship management and customer development experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience.
