We are looking for a Global Business Process Manager to join the Business Transformation group at our Corporate Headquarters.

The Global Business Process, Manager will be responsible for leading, managing, and successfully executing projects in support of the above strategy. It requires the ability to excel at the manager level, and then consistently demonstrate the skills, experience, and readiness to rapidly move up in the organization to assume director-level responsibilities.

In this role you will:

Plan, lead, manage and execute on projects in GBP Team with the following key activities-


  • Define the project approach; prepare and manage the project control documents (e.g. Project Charter, Project Schedule, RAID logs, Resource Plans, Roles and Approvals etc.).

  • Manage project forecasts and expenditure, track spend, submit accruals and manage vendor invoice processing.

  • Evaluate vendors, manage project contract negotiations.

  • Control project scope and monitor project schedules.

  • Effectively partner with the business and consulting resources of the project team to ensure alignment on all aspects of the project: scope, schedule, budget, and change management approach.

  • This position is expected to influence and gain alignment with people at all levels in the organization.

  • Partner effectively with the IT lead to ensure all business requirements, technical and infrastructure needs of the project are included in project scope and delivered on in a timely manner.  

  • Ensure Scotts standards and project methodologies are followed throughout the project, mentor the team on such standards and methodology to ensure these are followed after you’ve been transitioned off the project.

  • Provide leadership and direction to all members of the Project Team which may include external vendors

  • Assist business partners in getting all deliverables and alignments completed on time.

  • Prepare and communicate the project status to the key stakeholders such as Executive Steering Committee members, Advisory Board members, Project Sponsor through multiple channels such as weekly reports, status meetings, etc.

  • Experience in creating and implementing metrics to measure and drive high performance.

  • Ensure the effectiveness of the project structure and roles. Continuously improve the project approach as needed.

  • Create, communicate, align and engage an escalation approach for the project to ensure on time and on budget delivery.

  • Budget accountabilities will vary by project. Participate in annual budgeting exercise for the department.

  • Expected to function with minimal supervision.

  • Not required to directly supervise associates, but will facilitate and lead cross-functional teams of resources from within the organization, as well as consulting or other third parties resources.

The perfect person will have:

  • Bachelors Degree.

  • Minimum of 10 years of total working experience.

  • Project Management - minimum of 6 years’ experience in leading projects which includes success in managing, budgeting, forecasting, staffing/deployment, time management, schedule and work plan management, financial control, status reporting, issue management and risk management.

  • Prior experience desired in business process design, which includes success in designing sustainable business processes to drive expected business results.
