What you’ll do in this role:

  • Interact with Customer Service Representatives by phone or email at the customer’s location to determine appointment times necessary for on time delivery
  • Coordinate with carriers to determine who will be the best fit for each load
  • Monitor compliance to schedule and monitors carriers performance
  • Maintain a good working relationship with customers by responding to all inquiries and complaints regarding shipments in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Report customer feedback to management, including any sign of customer dissatisfaction
  • Perform all SAP transactions in the IM and WM modules
  • Perform all TMS (Transportation Management System) transactions both internally and externally for customers as required
  • Comply with housekeeping and safety rules
  • Other duties as required and assigned

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Strong computers skills (Excel, Word, Google)
  • Basic understanding of distribution, transportation, and freight routing
  • Be able to prioritize multiple daily tasks with changing priorities and needs
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule, including overtime
  • Be willing to work weekends during peak season (November – June)

 Physical Qualifications:

  • Position entails prolonged and repetitive motion of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead and arms/hands dexterity.
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds.

The perfect person will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • SAP and TMS experience a plus
  • Ability to work independently, handle adverse situations and problem solve
  • Excellent communication and etiquette (both verbal and written)
  • Effective use of calculator, fax, copier, printers and other general office equipment
  • Must possess the aptitude to make sound judgments in regards to associate safety
  • Follow all Safety Guidelines to ensure that all associates remain uninjured.
