We are looking for a Packaging Operator/Technician who will grow at our Operations Facility in Marysville, OH The Packaging Operator/Technician Performs various manual jobs associated with the packaging of liquid products and operates various packaging machines on an assembly line. Typical work may include but is not limited to: Operates and tends automated machinery that performs one or more liquid bottling packaging functions, such as labelers, conveyor lines/belts, stretch wrappers, staplers and stitchers, baler, case formers, case sealers, auto straw inserter, labelaire sticker machine, posimat bottle hopper/feeders, case packers, cappers, auto coder, auto gluer, palletizer, de-palletizer, moen case former, pump inserter (Corniani), and/or banders, meeting assembly line production schedules. This would also include serving in the capacity of a backup Filler Op when the need arises. Feed components onto assembly conveyor, or into hoppers or other devices, to maintain continuous production. Replenish and unload components, such as corrugated cardboard, glue, plastic wrap, copper wire, baler band, pump inserts, bottles, caps, labels, sprayers, etc., avoiding breaks in production assembly process. Assemble/install component parts to include, sprayer bags, sprayer heads, sprinkler fittings, tape machines, box dividers, wand appliers, pumps, caps, etc., rotating to different tasks every thirty minutes around the assigned production line. Clean, lubricate, reassemble, install and adjust assembly line equipment (fillers, tape machines, labelers, flex conveyers, etc.) to meet yearly and daily maintenance requirements and to complete frequent reconfiguration of assembly lines in preparation for changing product runs. Perform quality control checks and promote a teamwork environment, providing assistance and support to co-workers and guidance to new workers, and other duties as assigned. The perfect person will have: High School Diploma / GED Must be able to do basic math functions such as adding, subtracting and dividing. Ability to follow directions provided in verbal or non-verbal format. Ability to make decisions regarding equipment adjustments to meet product specifications and quality conformity, and ability to follow directions provided in verbal or non-verbal format. Strong communication skills Demonstrate a willingness to learn multiple job assignments. Learn computer-assisted operations, data entry, and record keeping skills. Successfully complete the Formal Packager Training Program, which includes oral and written assessments and completion of the on-the-job training. Understand and troubleshoot packaging process problems. Work in a team environment and promote teamwork. Make decisions on equipment adjustments to meet product specifications and quality conformity. Decisions will affect product cost and specification compliance. Reason: example - Understand the safety ramification and potential hazards of actions. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and remove or correct identified jamming or quality control situation. Communicate (Language): example - Communicate with team members when tending machinery, equipment, and assembly line, as needed, to resolve product flow and quality issues. Read and comprehend Formula Safety Checklists and Personal Protective Equipment Lists, policy and procedure manuals, and Operating and Maintenance Manuals provided by equipment vendors. Be supervised, including daily direction of assigned workstation, product to be packaged, and timing of activities that require integration with other areas.
