We are looking for a Plant Supervisor to grow with us at our Cresson, Texas soil and mulch manufacturing facility!  

Because our Cresson location is experiencing such rapid growth, we are looking for a driven, motivated, and hard working people leader to coach and develop our team while running the day-to-day operations of the plant in conjunction with our Plant and Office Manager. As a Plant Supervisor, you will be immersed in a fast-paced, high energy culture with great potential for advancement!

What you’ll do in this role: 

  • Day-to-day management of plant operations and productivity through cross-functional collaboration with Plant Manager, Office Manager and other stakeholders. 

  • Supervision of approximately 50-65 hourly associates performing activities in production, maintenance, warehouse, distribution, and operations.

  • Involvement in goal setting for the plant by planning and executing production goals.

  • Foster a team environment and engaged associates through motivation, coaching and development.

  • Execute staffing needs while evaluating associate work performance, driving accountability, and coordinating schedules to meet business needs.

  • Enforce government, company and/or plant laws, procedures, and/or policies.

  • Ensure quality and quantity standards are achieved in a cost effective and efficient manner.

  • Communicate, implement and monitor safety programs and procedures.

  • Prepare and/or maintain various logs, records and reports, such as production, maintenance, inventory, etc. 

  • May purchase supplies, parts and/or equipment.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • B.S. degree (prefer Engineering, Business/Operations Management, or Supply Chain fields) 

  • 2+ years manufacturing experience in a supervisory role developing associates and leading safety initiatives

  • Knowledge and experience implementing continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.

  • Experience leading and executing safety, quality, and customer service initiatives.

  • Financial acumen including p&l experience or managing a budget for a manufacturing facility. 

  • Good oral and written communication skills. 

  • Must be able to effectively multi-task and problem solve by adapting quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage, motivate and train others to achieve required goals.  

  • Strong computer skills are required.
