We are looking for a Production Supervisor who will grow at our [HGC] offices OR facility. 



Administer the activities of the production organization to meet manufacturing targets and objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Participate as a member of the HGC supervisory team that provides leadership, direction to develop and implement plans to meet group targets and objectives.



What you’ll do in this role:





  • Manage employee work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.



  • Manage cell assignments in support of scheduling priorities, absenteeism and employee development



  • Manage employee  time and attendance 



  • Coach, develop, discipline, and evaluate production workers in accordance with HR policies and applicable federal and state laws



  • Initiate and facilitate interview panels, employee discipline, and performance evaluations.



  • Conduct problem identification and resolution.



  • Identify problems using root cause analysis



  • Facilitate solution of daily production issues



  • Assign team members to address root causes & establish countermeasures



  • Develop and maintain lean manufacturing tools 



  • Identify and carry out solutions to production problems using DMAIC



  • Provide leadership and ensure effective employee relations within team.



  • Respond to employee needs,  production issues, work availability,  and other employee issues



  • Resolve production issues that require assistance from other areas



  • Model appropriate behavior and lead by example



  • Foster positive relationships in teams



  • Provide honest, un-biased, and constructive feedback 



  • Assist in addressing employee questions & concerns



  • Communicate professionally & effectively



  • Manage safety activities in work area and throughout shop.



  • Monitor adherence to safety protocols by employees



  • Address safety issues as they occur



  • Assist in training employees



  • Assist employees with minor first aid



  • Fill out incident reports



  • Own and manage a 5s and safe environment for employees & visitors



  • Identify and implement solutions to potential safety problems



  • Implement continuous improvement projects and activities.



  • Support implementation of new equipment, procedures & processes



  •  Coordinate material flow in work area.  





What you’ll need to be successful:



  • Associates Degree in related field, and progress toward a BS/BA.



  • Minimum 5 years manufacturing background in a high volume repetitive manufacturing organization.  



  • Two years successful supervisory experience required. 



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.



  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, continuous learning, flexibility, customer focus, quality commitment, continuous improvement and good relationships required.



  • Excellent team, supervisory and management skills required. 



  • Familiar with time and attendance tracking systems.



  • Demonstrated budgeting and cost tracking skills.



  • Understanding of production processes, scheduling, and workflow.



  • Demonstrated decision making ability with limited data.



  • Competency demonstrated with computer programs: Word, Excel, Outlook.



  • Excellent attendance. 



  • Ability to read blueprints.



  • Understanding of Quality systems including advanced SPC concepts.



  • Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative.



  • Effectively problem solve, prioritize, and follow through on assignments and projects.
