We are looking for an Quality Assurance Technician who will join our Scotts Miracle-Gro team in Chino, California and our new location in Riverside in 2020!

Ensures all criteria relating to product quality are met including but not limited to, product testing, weights and measures, additive control, coding and appearance, plus insuring that all necessary documentation, required by both State and Federal agencies, is completed accurately and within time requirements.

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Coordinates machine operator and loader operators to ensure additive controls are in place.  Ensures that all product testing is accomplished and up to date. Performs quality checks including weighing and volume checks.  Ensures that all proper record keeping procedures are in place. Coordinate with forklift drivers to ensure that acceptable shipping standards.  Ensures that all incoming raw materials meet QA standards. Coordinates with supervisor to ensure additive inventory is adequate.
  • To insure full compliance of all Scott/Hyponex, State and Federal Regulatory agencies, Environmental, and Air Pollution.
  • Communicate between Plant Manager, Plant Supervisor, and Office Manager, once a month on Quality, Safety and Environmental status, conditions and concerns.
  • Responsible for meeting quality and quantity standards.

  • Responsible to ensure all testing an additive equipment is in good working order, and all in compliance.

What you’ll need to be successful:

●    High school diploma./with some computer skills

●    Safe practices and procedures, ability to read English and/or follow instructions.

●    Ability to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/rainy weather, lift 50 pounds, and be able to climb ladders and work on their feet for most of the day.
