The Returns Specialist is responsible for the unloading, proper storage, and staging of returned materials as well as working with other departments and shifts to ensure efficient flow of materials. This individual needs to be self-motivated and responsible for their results. Their actions and work ethic should enhance a safe, quality conscious, efficient environment as it pertains to the plant.

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Move, stack, unstack, and stage product using a forklift
  • Unload return shipments safely and move product to storage locations
  • Ensure return shipments and all counts are accurate
  • Report quality variances
  • Give direction to return associates on which products to process
  • Work with Group Leads and Supervisors to ensure expected processing rates are achieved
  • Utilize SAP to receive, store and locate product
  • Conduct spot checks to ensure the inventory stated in SAP is accurate
  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
  • Operate all equipment in a safe fashion
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that inventory control and security are maintained
  • Assist with physical inventories
  • Comply with OSHA, MSDS, and EPA Standards
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Strong computers skills (SAP, Google, etc…)
  • Able to read required documents for unloading, pallet building, product mixing instructions, and storing product
  • Be able to prioritize multiple daily tasks with changing priorities and needs
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule, including overtime
  • Be willing to work weekends during peak season (October – May)

 Physical Qualifications:

  • Position entails prolonged and repetitive motion of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead and arms/hands dexterity.
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds.

The perfect person will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years Warehousing or material logistics experience preferred
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Effective communication and time management
  • Must possess the aptitude to make sound judgments in regards to associate safety
  • Follow all Safety Guidelines to ensure that all associates remain uninjured.
