We are looking for an Global Information Security II, Senior Analyst who will join our Business Transformation (Information Technology) team.

As a member of the Global Information Security team, this role is a first line of defense in protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Scotts information assets and IT resources. The Senior Analyst, Global Information Security will provide daily operational support to information security processes. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with a desire to identify issues and formulate solutions that reduce risk and align with organizational strategies.

In this role you will:

  • Administers security platforms and toolsets in an active, hands-on operational role.

  • Analyzes data outputs of security monitoring tools and proactively drives appropriate security measures to protect enterprise assets and end users.

  • Facilitates vulnerability and patch management execution in line with organizational risk policies.

  • Responds to security and threat alerts and provides escalation to management.

  • Executes security operations, such as log and event management, malware analysis, and incident response.

  • Develops and maintains reports and metrics on security domains.

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of information security threats, vulnerabilities, practices, principles and solutions.

  • Assists in the coordination and completion of information security operations documentation, policies, standards, and procedures.

The perfect person will have:

  • 4-6 years of Information Technology or Cyber Security work experience.

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

  • Security+, CISSP, CEH, GIAC, OSCP, ITIL or other relevant information technology and security certifications are desired.

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more specific technical areas, such as network/cloud security, security log management, threat intelligence, email security, vulnerability management, incident response, social engineering, or hacking techniques.

  • Technical proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Expert-level knowledge in malware prevention and endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms, tools, and best practices.

  • Experience with cyber intelligence gathering, processing, and IOC development.

  • Fluency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Ruby, PowerShell, C++, C#, Bash, or Perl is desired.

  • Experience developing repeatable process, automation procedures, and playbooks for security systems.

  • Working knowledge of IT-related laws and compliance mandates (e.g. Sarbanes Oxley 404, PCI DSS, HIPAA/HITECH, Personal Information Privacy) is desired.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills to identify and deliver high performing solutions.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in understandable business terms.

  • Ability to coordinate delivery of high quality solutions on time and within budget.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks as well as collaborate with Business partners.
