We are looking for a Sr Analyst, Procurement  who will join our Hawthorne procurement  team in Marysville, OH.

This role will be based in Marysville, OH and will support HGC which is based in Vancouver, WA.This includes supporting the creation and execution sourcing events and contracts, development and tracking of Material Price Variance (MPV) forecasting, development and rollout of supplier scorecards, support of various systems implementations, and general analysis projects.

 

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Key resource supporting the Purchasing Managers during creation Sourcing events (e.g. RFPs, RFIs, and reverse auctions) and contract (contract redlines and repository).  In addition to supporting RFxs and contract processes, this resource will setup supplier and user records.

  • Maintain reporting on direct materials spend, cost savings project analysis, development of annual budgets and material standards, and roll out new technology solutions to continuously improve reporting capabilities. Facilitate weekly meetings with International Procurement team to track performance to forecast and research/resolve issues.

  • Develop monthly MPV forecast that is submitted to corporate finance. Maintain and troubleshoot reporting to support this process, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Maintain monthly Cost Center Budget report. Compare monthly/ annual expenses to budget.

  • Maintain Monthly DPO report. Coordinate with Purchasing Managers to report progress to target and provide report to management

  • Develop comprehensive Hawthorne Commodity tracker. Coordinate with US Consumer section of business to provide a consolidated commodity risk evaluation.

  • Report Cost out activity progress each month. Target areas of opportunity and coordinate with Purchasing Managers for future projects.

  • Develop, roll out, and maintain a robust metric system for measuring suppliers on cost, on-time delivery, quality, service, etc.

  • Support development of systems roadmap for Procurement, evaluation and documentation of current systems, leading new system implementations, and other system support as needed.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • BS/BA degree in IT, Finance, Procurement, or other related field

  • Prefer 2+ years’ experience using/supporting SAP

  • Previous experience using SAP ERP and/or SAP BW is a plus

  • Strong analytic and reporting skills

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
