We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst supporting our Brand Finance Team who will grow at our corporate office in Marysville, Ohio.

The Brand Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in key finance processes specific to SMG’s brands such as forecasting, budgeting, variance and innovation analysis. This role is instrumental in providing the information and analysis necessary to determine key business decisions for the Brand. The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to prioritize and communicate effectively, and will exhibit strong accounting and finance skills.

In this role you will:

  • Key metric reporting: Point-of-Sale (POS), Sales, key launches/initiatives, profitability

  • Calculate and process weekly and monthly cash flow settlements in alignment with 3rd party agreement

  • Monthly forecasting, annual budgeting; variance analysis

  • Product lifecycle management

  • Frequent ad-hoc analysis utilized for business decisions

  • Ensure a timely and accurate month-end close; balance sheet reconciliations

  • Innovation analysis

  • Collaborate with peers to complete management reporting, customer presentations

The perfect person will have:

  • Four-year degree in finance or accounting is required

  • CPA, MBA or other professional designation a plus

  • Three to five years of professional finance or accounting experience

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines; strong organizational skills

  • Financial and accounting aptitude, to analyze financial information

  • Possess solid communication skills in both verbal and written aspects

  • Strong initiative and leadership, ability to work with minimal direction

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
