We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Analyst (Forecasting) who will join our Walmart Business Development Team in Bentonville, AR. This position will be based at The Scotts Miracle-Gro office in Bentonville, AR.

The Senior Supply Chain Analyst (Forecasting) plays a critical role in meeting sales and supply chain goals for Scotts. This role interacts weekly with sales and replenishment, as well as the planning and fulfillment teams, in Marysville, OH (our World Headquarters). They ensure that we can execute to the sales, replenishment and ordering strategies developed by the Business Development Team. Key responsibilities include forecasting for Walmart and Sams for Scotts, adjusting for trends or features, assisting in item management and collaborating with the replenishment managers on forecast changes needed in Walmart’s system. They have responsibility for incorporating actions into planning at Scotts, therefore contributing to favorable cash flow and inventory objectives.

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Provide forecasting and sales support services for multiple categories
  • Lead the demand planning process in order to develop an accurate shipment forecast
  • Create cross functional collaboration with the planning, fulfillment, sales, marketing, finance, and execution/replenishment teams
  • Execute consensus process through financial forecasting and S&OP
  • Utilize internal Scott’s relationships to troubleshoot issues that arise related to production and fulfillment issues
  • Participate in the ready for season process to ensure items are set up accurately and timely
  • Execute to established in-stock levels, inventory positions and POS trends by working with Walmart's replenishment team on adjustments to settings or forecast levels within Retail Link and Scotts consensus process
  • Actively participate with Business Development Supply Chain team in replenishment meetings
  • Partner with Walmart replenishment analysts to provide expertise in Lawn and Garden by utilizing trend analysis to favorably impact orders
  • Daily internal cross-functional interactions in a small but fast paced office

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum 2 year’s experience in Retail, Inventory Planning/forecasting role is desired
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel required
  • System Experience using SAP, JDA (Manugistics) or similar ERP systems, Retail Link is desired 
  • Business experience in Demand and Replenishment Planning in either a retail or consumer products manufacturing environment
  • General understanding of inventory management, and retail replenishment preferred
