We are looking for a Shift Supervisor who will grow at our Vancouver, WA production facility. 

Shift Supervisor provides leadership for workers on the production line.  Requires in-depth knowledge of the work and the ability to motivate employees to meet the organization's expectations and goals.  This is a safety sensitive position where the employee holding this position has the responsibility for his/her own safety and other people's safety.


In this role you will:

  • Manage and direct activities of shift employees. 

  • Ensure employees have proper training and create work schedules.

  • Along with staff, ensure proper installation and removal of tooling.

  • Ensure accurate set-up and program all machinery within allotted time.

  • Participate in or assist with complete tool change-overs.

  • Monitor condition of equipment and tooling and notify tooling specialist for improvement needs.

  • Record material usage and other production data.

  • Participate in and encourage problem solving related to product defects and process improvements.

  • Evaluate the performance of shift employees, reward high performers and discipline employees who fail to live up the company’s expectations.

  • Prepare production reports for management and ensure their team meets the organizations expectations for quality, productivity and safety.

  • Contact person for employee vacation requests, and time and attendance questions.

  • Mentor and develop employees and encourage employees to set goals and strive for advancement in the organization

  • Maintain proper housekeeping in the work area.

  • Maintain a safe work environment.

  • Communicate and coordinate with other department employees and management. 

  • Other related duties as required.

The perfect person will have:

  • High School Diploma plus 1-2 years of mechanical/electrical experience

  • Must have basic math, reading and writing skills

  • Computer literate – able to update spreadsheets, respond to e-mail, enter data and use web-based software

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds

  • Knowledge of plant safety and quality control processes 

  • Self-motivated, organized and able to work in fast paced environment

  • Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail with demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize a rapidly changing set of objectives

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to perform any of the jobs on the shift and be prepared to pitch in and help whenever necessary
