We are looking for an HR Shared Services Operations Specialist who will join our Human Resources team in Marysville, Ohio.

The Work 

Our Shared Services organization continues to evolve and our Director, HR Shared Services needs support in managing the day-to-day responsibilities for our Shared Services Coordinators.  As the HR Shared Services Operations Specialist, you will focus on associate experience, operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. In addition to managerial responsibilities, you will also support the Director of HR for Research & Development (R&D) in driving business and talent growth.  We have big ideas about how to solve complex business problems but don’t always have the time to do the research, find the solution and put it all together to get it across the finish line. That is where we need you.  

To help support the Shared Services team you will: 

  • Effectively lead and direct the work of 5 HR Shared Services Coordinators

  • Establish associate service standards for various associate support channels including email, case management tickets and phone calls

  • Continuously coach and develop employees

  • Drive process improvement initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence and identify other business opportunities and/or improvements and initiatives

  • Improve associate support quality results by evaluating processes; monitoring and analyzing results; implementing potential changes

  • Define and effectively manage department metrics

  • Manage the administration execution of HR programs such as Tuition Assistance, Relocation and Unemployment Claims Management

  • Build strong relationships with key HR partners to ensure the team is meeting the needs of our internal customers

To help support the R&D organization you will: 

  • Interact daily with our amazing associates to answer questions about our top notch benefits plans, payroll, or occasionally just chat with them about how their day is going 

  • Assist our business partners with associate changes to make sure our systems are accurate and up to date 

  • Ensure we meet our internal and external compliance obligations through strong partnerships with our HR team members

  • Complete associate exit interviews with the direction and partnership of the Director of HR and through your learnings will be able to make recommendations that help shape our culture 

Who are we looking for to fill this unique role? 

  • HR experience; if you have held roles, such as but not limited to, Human Resource Specialist, Human Resources Coordinator, Shared Service Specialist, HR Generalist, HR Representative, HR Supervisor

  • Generalist experience in a larger organization and has exposure to supporting multiple business functions

  • Supporting business group(s) from a HR perspective - exit interviews, talent development, investigations, 

  • Coaching, counseling and influencing business partners and/or leaders in regards to HR related matters 

  • Have been successful in managing a team or process by influencing others to get work done

  • Understanding of employee relations, organizational development 

  • You have learned how to overcome obstacles and see things through despite challenges

  • Self-starter and are energized by your intellectual curiosity
