The Specialist, HR Shared Services will report to the Director of HR Shared Services and will serve as the subject matter expert providing HR Generalist and Operations support for the organization while supporting one or more HR Generalists. This role provides a broad scope of services to support the execution of human resources activities and processes surrounding talent and growth. Delivers accurate and timely processing of HR Operations transactions and delivers outstanding customer service to internal and external clients. Evaluates work requests and determines appropriate priority and resolution. Works with various HR functional areas to accomplish work goals providing solutions and resolution to complex business problems utilizing research and appropriate collaboration.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with HR Generalists on projects and programs to solve business problems

  • Interact daily with our amazing associates to answer questions about our top notch benefits plans, payroll, or occasionally just chat with them about how their day is going

  • Great decision making requires a strong foundation of data, so you will be asked to complete administrative requirements connected with associate changes and organization structures to make sure our systems are accurate and up to date

  • You will interface with our HR Specialty groups to ensure we meet our internal and external compliance obligations to make sure we are always doing the right thing

  • You will work closely with our recruiters in identifying job posting needs as well as lending your voice in the candidate selection process.

  • You will assist the team of Generalists in the management of our talent by being a partner in succession planning as well as performance management activities.

  • You will have a part to do in the exit process when people choose to move on to the next journey in their career and through your learnings will be able to make recommendations that help shape our culture  

  • You’ll be the “right hand” of our team of Generalists allowing you to grow and learn while contributing to the execution of our HR priorities


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for learning

  • Ability to work through complex issues and provide all options for resolutions

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and creative outlook with strong attention to detail, document tone

  • Ability to manage difficult conversations

  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines

  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities

  • Must be an effective team player and proficiently work with cross-functional teams

  • Self-starter

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or similar field

  • HR Experience preferred

  • HR Generalist experience a plus
