We are looking for a Mobile Applications Specialist who will join our Direct to Consumer team.

 The Mobile Applications, Specialist lead mobile planning and development for our suite of apps.

This role is highly collaborative across digital, content, brand, media, analytics and business technology operations. As such, this role will help evaluate, develop and refine process and workflow while partnering with valued internal and external resources in order to get things done efficiently.

This role reports to the Director, Digital and Content.

In this role you will:

  • App Product Management. Based on a strategic planning process, actively manage our portfolio of mobile apps and mobile experiences. Be able to clearly understand and articulate how this portfolio builds our brands, contributes demonstrably to sales and improves 1:1 relationship with consumers.
  • App Development Management. Lead and manage our external mobile design and development agencies, ensuring that mobile products represent category leading consumer experiences are being delivered on time and on budget.
  • Monitoring and Reporting. Monitor key performance metrics to understand and improve our mobile ecosystem. Provide appropriate weekly, quarterly, and annual reports to the Senior Management Team. Produce additional reporting and deliver additional insight as requested.
  • Data. Collaborate with the analytics team, business technology team, mobile development agency, and media agency to ensure appropriate data collection and synchronization.
  • Continuous improvement. Analyze and improve mobile and data operations through the ongoing development of best practices across all teams.
  • Third party relations. In conjunction with the e-commerce, digital, analytics and business technology teams, continually evaluate potential partners, platforms and tools.
  • Security and Compliance. Contribute to strategies and operational planning that protect the management of both anonymous data and consumer information. Understand and manage Federal and State restriction management, including FIFRA.
  • Special needs always arise and should be considered as important as brand/business responsibilities noted above.

The perfect person will have:

  • Must have an interest in the rapidly changing mobile landscape including trends, competition, manufacturers, and understanding of consumer behavior.
  • Comfort working in a highly-matrixed environment.
  • Good understanding of e-commerce.
  • A start-up/hustle/roll-up-your-sleeve mentality. Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment and to juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Experience working on cross-disciplinary processes that drive improvement without sacrificing focus on key objectives.
  • Ability to contribute collaboratively to a team while also working independently and proactively to analyze issues and improve results.
  • Analytical and statistical skills, along with written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3-4 years experience in mobile as a developer, marketer or strategist.
