We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst in our Marysville, OH corporate office.

This person will assist the Finance Manager as the liaison for the Sales, Product Category and Marketing Teams with a focus on improving/sustaining portfolio profitability.

In this role you will:

  • Support the planning, budgeting and forecasting of net sales and related profitability; and media/marketing expenses
  • Articulate and understand current financial results and forecast results with a focus on net sales and related profitability; and media/marketing expenses
  • Financial analysis and business case support for new products working closely with the Product Category teams;
  • Pricing and Trade analysis and support, including working with the sales directors on customer programs;
  • Support the Marketing team on media/marketing spend
  • Ad hoc analyses and reports for the benefit of various sales, category, marketing and finance leaders;
  • This position will report to the Finance Manager.

The perfect person will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting;
  • 3+ years of post-undergraduate work experience in public accounting or industry financial roles;
  • Operates with a sense of ownership and urgency;
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various cross functional teams
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, as this person will be interacting with all levels of management;
  • Ability to be creative and flexible, and should be a high achiever with the potential to move into positions of increasing responsibility.

Some other nice to have’s:

  • SAP experience or similar ERP system
  • Experience in BW / Tableau or similar analysis tool
  • CPA (active or inactive)
  • Knowledge of Hawthorne products and/or the consumer products industry
