We are looking for a Workday HCM Senior Technical Analyst who will join our HCM team in Marysville, OH.

The Workday HCM Senior Technical Analyst, Workforce Analytics will report to the HCM Technical Manager and will serve as a subject matter expert providing workforce analytics that identify, analyze, and interpret data trends to assist with business decisions across the entire organization.  This role will work collaboratively with leaders, and functional owners across business units, to analyze and understand strategies, and then leverage advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex issues that will foster organizational agility and change management capability across the board, enabling the adoption of data insights. 

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Create simple to complex reports  in Workday to respond to ad-hoc requests.
  • Ensure reports are comprehensive, accurate, timely, and relevant and reflect the most recent organizational changes.
  • Recommend  key performance indicators for Workforce Reporting initiatives to determine value and effectiveness. Assist in development, tracking and analysis of metrics and dashboards in support of period reporting. Analysis may include quantitative and qualitative, transactional/efficiency and human capital metrics.
  • Determine the mix of presentational tools (including dashboards) that will best present the information for end-user consumption.
  • Consult with customers at all levels and across the business to elicit how new reporting requirements and output are to be leveraged. Gather functional requirements, maintain documentation, and develop project plans and status reports used for managing Analytics projects. Generate data-driven insights through partnership and collaboration with Human Resource partners internal and external functional experts, and business partners.
  • Present methodology and conclusions of analyses to a variety of recipients. Take the results of analyses and tell a story with the data to guide leaders in business decisions with the ability to explain details and high-level overviews depending on the audience.
  • Lead and participate in the design and execution of projects related to reporting and data. Contribute effectively on all key phases: needs assessment and prioritization, project sizing, task execution, customer and partner communication, draft iterations, UAT, and finalization/roll out. Keep customers informed on progress and include them in key decision making where appropriate.
  • Develop technical expertise in various Workday technologies, such as the core reporting and analytics framework and other data or Business Intelligence (BI) related technologies currently on the market.
  • Develop, implement and ensure adherence to data governance framework for data policies, standards and practices to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection.
  • Maintain the Report Catalog and ensure data security and accuracy.
  • Other projects and duties as may be required by business needs.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Experience with enterprise-level solutions and business intelligence implementations.
  • Ability to analyze, deconstruct, design, drive and promote complex data project
  • Knowledge of industry leading data quality, architecture and data protection management practices.
  • Experience with Web Services and APIs.
  • Experience developing and managing Data governance programs.
  • Strong analytical execution with thoroughness, accuracy, and focus on data integrity.
  • Strong database management skills including ability to merge, clean and analyze large amounts of data.
  • Excellent executive presentation skills: ability to extract, analyze and present actionable information.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, brainstorm innovative solutions, and drive actions to quick resolution.
  • Understanding of HR Operations and experience in employee data management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle both planned and unplanned responsibilities as well as managing competing priorities.
  • Deeply curious about business, highly motivated to have an impact on prospects/customers, and broadly interested in leveraging technology to solve business problems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to establish strong relationships with all levels of an organization.
  • Not required, but a plus: Familiarity with Workday Object Management Services (BI), Report Writer and other BI tools such as Tableau.

Education & Experience:

  • Five (5) years of reporting, data analysis and modeling with Workday or other HCM or Business Intelligence applications.
  • Experience developing insights from data, metrics, and statistical analysis and modeling using advanced tools.
  • Technical systems experience (HR systems preferred)
  • Workday experience or training preferred to include tenant wide configuration, business process functionality and integration support
  • HR applications experience preferred
